The Rubies & Snowdrop Ornament Kit Includes:

• Bell Caps
• Sequins
• Faceted Beads

The beaded ornaments are made by pinning the red snowflake shaped beads to the Styrofoam ornament form with the white head pins.  I use craft glue on each pin to make the decorations permanent.  I have found that the pins can, and will pull lose from the Styrofoam form over the years.  If they are glued in place, they won't pull out and get lost.

Pearls on Ice Bead & Sequin Ornament Kit

Bead & sequin ornament kits certainly make creating a beautiful Christmas ornament easy.  The Pearls on Ice bead and sequin ornament kit is an excellent example of Christmas ornaments that are pretty, and easy to make.

Each year, I select a new ornament kit to make for my children.  I usually make the same ornament for each child so their handmade ornament collections are alike.  I wouldn't want either of them to think I am showing favoritism.   That would be true for friends too.  If I am giving my handmade beaded ornaments as gifts, I want them to be the same for everyone.  The only exception would be if someone has a color preference or if I know that they hate a particular color.  Blue is a universally loved color, so it is always a safe color selection.

Sequin Red Cardinals Ornament Kit

When I was a little girl, I was fascinated by the birds on my grandmother's Christmas tree.  She loved the outdoors and all of the beautiful birds that serenaded her daily during the milder weather seasons.  I know she greatly missed their songs during the winter months.  She payed tribute to her feathered friends by adding them to her Christmas tree. 

My grandmother's bird ornaments were scattered throughout her Christmas tree just like the real birds were scattered throughout her real trees outside.

I loved my grandmother and I share her love for beautiful wild birds.  I always enjoy listening to their calls and watching the flash of color dart from branch to branch.  The brilliant red Cardinal against the green leaves and foliage or the blue sky always catches my eye whether it is sitting still or flying through the air.  I guess that is one of the reasons why it is one of my personal favorites on the Christmas tree.  Of course, the Cardinal's red color is perfect for Christmas.
